The most important thing for us to get right is the group. You will be buying a share in an actual aircraft, not hours that can be used in one of a fleet. The advantages of this are that you will always travel in the same plane, usually with the same pilot. What it means for us is finding co-owners with similar needs. To do this we need a few details from you. This means signing up to the register, and once we have full sign up we will organise a group workshop. This is where you can thrash out all the details between yourselves including setting up the legal status, telling us where you’d like your plane hangared and what level of service you require. Of course, it might be that you won’t want Private Air Travel to manage the aircraft on your behalf, but just find co-owners and a plane. We are more than happy to do this, but a word of warning. It’s not as easy as you might think – which is the whole point of us being in business. If it was that easy everybody would be doing it. And even better, until September 30th the registration fee will be waived.

Now then, talking of money. As an owner you will be liable for all costs, as with your car, and to comply with all legal requirements you cannot profit from it. There are three separate costs involved:

• Aircraft purchase (company asset - very low depreciation, as aircraft maintain their value)
• Fixed costs (maintenance/insurance/management/pilot salaries/hangarage etc.)
• Hourly rate when using the aircraft (fuel/landing fees/navigation charges)

As a group you will need to decide on the level of service required from Private Air Travel as shown below. 

We will take care of every aspect of the aircraft for you - this is a totally managed service. All we will need from you is to let us know where you want to be and when you want to be there.

A booking system will react to the needs of all of the owners and each week a programme will be produced for the following week. Any short notice needs can be slotted into the programme where possible but obviously the more notice we have of your trip the better. Invoices can be produced for each owner within the group to cover their direct flight costs reimbursement.
